This is a great hidden gem. We were able to get a late lunch on a Saturday with no wait. The staff here were very friendly and professional. I enjoyed all the good food. I really enjoyed the signature drink the "Rusty Bucket". The interior is quite appropriate with the term rustic. There was plenty of parking outside. I am looking forward to going back again soon!
I was actually not aware of this place until an out of town friend suggested we meet here for supper, it was a great choice! I loved it so much I told my folks about it, they seemed happy enough in the moment, both times I was very happy with the food. The first time we split appetizers, I was definitely too full for a meal after the mozzarella sticks. The second time, when I brought my folks, they had nothing but positives, then they went to Maine and he felt that he could have gotten a few more clams for the cost of what he paid (but he said he didn't leave here hungry). Take what I relay with a grain of salt, I am just telling my experiences, it's good enough for me to want to bring more people here!
The food was awesome. Good portion size for the price and very tasty. Fast friendly service. The dinning room was a little dark but nothing too major
We stopped in The Rustic Table the third week of January for a quick dinner while taking our grandson to indoor baseball. The food was very tasty and service was quick. We liked it so much that we brought our seven family members there today. Everyone was very pleased with their meals which all came at the same time. The huge table we had was a special treat as we all could hear and talk. We live in Maine, but this will be on our list every time we are visiting and I know my Northfield, MA family will be back again soon. Well done Rustic Table!
Ordered and thoroughly enjoyed the grilled portabella sandwich. Great meal last evening. Along with 5 other guests, everyone pleased with their selection. Prompt and courteous service, everything was exceptional!
I'm glad I read the Google reviews and tried this place! The food was great and Jen, our waitress was knowledgeable about all the meno items and specials. I tried the Short Ribs and Mushroom ravioli and it was great and the sauce was full of mushrooms. My kids had a burger and the meatball grinder and both looked great. If you're in town, definitely try this place.
My mother kept sending me pictures of her food everytime she went here. I finally got to visit and try the place. I will be back. The seafood platter was absolutely amazing. The batter is light and the oil isn't heavy. It was cooked perfectly. The shrimp was snappy but not chewy. The scallops were tender and not dried out. The haddock was the best fried haddock I've ever had. The coleslaw tasted fresh and wasn't sitting in a pool of watery juice like a lot of places I've been. Could use some more celery seed but perfect otherwise. The service was great. The prices are fair, I'd even say more than fair. Definitely recommend.
Love it here ! I always get the stuffed haddock which is to die for. My hubby had the fried chicken, fresh veggies and fried. Our only complaint is that the water left over from the vegetables was on the bottom of the plate, making the fried chicken soggy. We also find all of the food needs to have a little seasoning. But overall we love it and our waitress, Jen, was great.
